 Schacht End Delivery Shuttles are the ultimate in shuttles, designed especially and precisely for handweavers. They are lightweight, comfortable to throw and catch, adjustable to a variety of yarns, and easy—really easy—to thread. Our end delivery shuttles are available in 12″ and 15″ sizes.

How the end delivery shuttle works: The end delivery shuttle uses a pirn that remains stationary, instead of a free-spinning bobbin. The weft yarn unwinds off the pirn’s tip when the shuttle is in motion and stops unwinding when the shuttle stops. The yarn comes off the pirn and goes through a set of tension pads and comes out of the shuttle at a constant tension. This even delivery of weft causes less draw-in, which in turn makes better selvedges.

Resist the temptation to handle the weft yarn at all. Simply adjust the tension with the enclosed allen wrench to suit the yarn you are using and allow your shuttle to do the work. You’ll love how you can weave more rapidly than ever.

You’ll need pirns to go with your shuttle:

• 12″ shuttle takes 6″ pirns
• 15″ shuttle takes 8″ pirns

Use a double end or electric bobbin winder for pirns.

Wind longer warps on your Arras Tapestry Loom with this kit. It includes a sturdy base, plus ratcheted warp and cloth beams for superb tensioning control.

Our beam kit will fit on all Arras looms. Assembly is simple and requires only a #2 Phillips screwdriver.

Once you’ve installed the kit, you will need a raddle no more than 20″ wide to warp the loom. Our raddle for warps up to 20″ wide perfectly fits the loom.

Tapestry weaving just got easier with the Arras Trap. Place your Trap on the Arras Tapestry Loom above the shedding device so that your tools are always where you need them. If you've got an Arras Stand, you can add a Trap to the Loom and a Trap to the Stand for extra storage.

The optional Arras Treadle Kit adds even more efficiency to your weaving. Space treadles to your individual preference, then operate the shedding device with your feet.

Raddles help keep a warp spread evenly as it is wound onto the warp beam. Ours can be attached to either a back beam or the shuttle race of the beater. The raddles come with plated pins inserted every inch; if you prefer half-inch spacing, you can install extra pins (included) in every hole.

Wolf Raddles come with U-brackets that sit on the rear oval beam. These universal brackets fit all Wolf looms. You can also use the clamp blocks to attach the raddle to the beater bottom.

All bobbins are compatible with Flatiron, Ladybug, Matchless, and Sidekick wheels. Bulky Bobbins will only fit on Bulky Plyer Flyers; all other bobbins will fit on regular and bulky flyers.

Card weaving (also known as tablet weaving) is a way to create patterned woven bands that are thick, sturdy and beautiful. Though cards are often regarded as a simple tool, the weavings they can produce are infinite in design and complexity. The portability of these cards gives you the possibility of carrying a four harness loom in your pocket.

You can use the cards on their own with a simple tensioning device, such as tying the yarn to a door knob and tensioning around your waist. Or use the cards on a loom. An Inkle Loom is an ideal companion, but you can also use them on a Cricket, Flip, table, or floor loom.

Schacht has developed a card that, at 3-1/2″ inches square, is comfortable in the hand without being bulky. Colored bands and stripes are printed along each edge to help you keep track of the card’s position. Made of sturdy yet flexible 24-point card stock, these cards will serve you well over many, many warps.

The cards come in packages of 25—more than enough for a range of projects. All you need to add is yarn and a belt shuttle. You can start weaving complex bands at less than the cost of two coffees!

This is the heddle hook used for threading a rigid heddle loom. It is the same heddle hook that is included with the Schacht Cricket looms.

The Cricket pick-up stick has been designed to fit neatly between the sides of the loom. One end is beveled to make picking up warp threads easy. Two sizes available, 10" and 15". 

Our loom bench is a beautiful companion piece to our Wolf and Standard floor looms. The bench seat height is adjustable from 19″ to 24″ and has been designed to offer you a flat or slanted seat position. The bench is free of side posts, which allows you to move around unrestricted. Below the seat is a storage bin for holding your accessories. Our optional bench bags can be purchased with the bench or added later. The bags are made of durable Cordura cloth and can be mounted on either or both sides of the bench seat.

The Cricket Floor Stand makes it easier than ever to use your Cricket Loom. It’s simple to put your Cricket on the stand and adjust the angle, and it’s quick to remove when you want to take your Cricket out on the town.

The Cricket Floor Stand is made of the same high quality maple ply as the Cricket, and is left unfinished. The 15″ stand weighs 3.2 pounds.

The Matchless Spinning Wheel is the most responsive spinning wheel available today. You’ll appreciate our wheel’s matchless capabilities.

The Schacht Matchless Spinning Wheel offers double drive, Scotch tension, and bobbin lead modes of operation. Its 19.5″ drive wheel and flyer shaft are supported by self-aligning bronze bearings for precise action. Each flyer is individually balanced and the bobbins and flyer whorls are trued on center for long and superior service.

Included with each wheel: 4 bobbins, fast and medium speed whorls, a threading hook, tensioned Lazy Kate, and carrying strap.

Wheels come with two flyer whorls (medium and fast); four additional flyer whorls offer spinning ratios from 4:1 to 21:1.
