Combine loom weaving, bead weaving, laddering, and micro macrame techniques to create a bracelet of beautiful glass beads with hand dyed cotton thread. No weaving or beading experience necessary. Most students will complete their bracelets in class, or will leave with complete understanding of how to finish on their own.
Materials
The following materials for the class are curated to facilitate your learning experience. Some of these supplies are included and some must be purchased separately. The fee for this class is only for the instruction and supplies provided by the instructor.
Supplies provided by the Instructor:
- Class fee includes materials: handouts, bracelet loom and weaving accessories, several yards of hand dyed threads for warp and weft, decorative button, and assorted 2/0, 6/0, and 8/0 glass beads in a choice of colorways. If you have a specific color preference or would like to incorporate your own supplies, please email Cris at craftunstrung at gmail dot com as soon as your class registration is confirmed.
Supplies you are required to bring:
- Scissors
- Reading Glasses, Magnification, and/or battery operated task lighting if needed for close work
- A small mat will be provided in class, however if you prefer, please bring your favorite beading mat or tray.
Optional Supplies to bring:
- Paper and pencil/pen for note taking
- Project bag and/or cases to organize your materials

This class meets for up to 3 hours on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 1:30pm-4:30pm CST. Please contact us with any questions about registration.
Where
This class is held during the All Fiber Arts Retreat 2024 at the Comfort Suites Rock Garden Green Bay, WI. A conference room is reserved for our use. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in at the reception table and allow yourself time to get situated. Class will begin and end promptly within the agreed upon times with the instructor as scheduled. Please notify us prior to the class if you need any accommodations.
About the Instructor
Raised in a crafty household, Cris Robinson has been creating with beads and yarn for more years than she would like to count. She is an avid knitter, crocheter, tatter, weaver and jewelry maker with a love of teaching. Her knowledge of fiber techniques has allowed her to develop innovative methods to combine fiber and jewelry construction in exciting and unique ways. Teaching workshops gives Cris the opportunity to share her enthusiasm and expertise with others, and she strives to provide each student with a solid foundation of knowledge to encourage further exploration and learning. Cris has taught at numerous venues including small needlework and yarn shops, craft stores like Ben Franklin and Michaels, and the Milwaukee Art Museum, as well as workshops at the Wisconsin Sheep and Wool Festival and the Loose Bead Society.
Attendance & Cancellations
This class is a group style seminar with a minimum of 6 students to go forward and a maximum of 12 students. If the class minimum is not met, a full refund will be provided. A refund will be provided to attendees if notice is sent 2 weeks in advance of the scheduled class. There is no refund or partial refund for the class for missing the session. You may transfer your reservation to another person if your cancellation is within 2 weeks before the start of class. In the unlikely event of inclement weather that would prevent the class from meeting, the class will be extended and rescheduled as determined by the Instructor.
