Sock Blank Painting Class
Regular price $ 73.00 Save $ -73.00Abstract
Knit Fabric Dye Blanks are your artist canvas to create an original yarn for hand or machine knitting, crochet, weaving, embroidery, etc. The color and project possibilities are only limited by your imagination. In this class we will explore how to hand paint pre-knit fabric panels to create an original yarn that will be a work of art by itself. Your finished project of choice will be a one-of-kind item unique to you!
Upon successful completion of this class, you will be able to hand paint a knit fabric dye blank for use in knitting, crochet, weaving, embroidery, etc.
Knit fabric dye blanks are often called sock blanks because they are commonly knit from fingering weight or sport weight yarn that is easily used for socks. Care is taken in this class to present knit fabric dye blanks as much more than sock blanks. The same sock blank can just as well be a hat blank, mitten blank, shawl/scarf blank, etc. The options of what to use the yarn for are just as plentiful as any other length of yarn, with the advantage of being able to easily control the dye process.
