Frames for Punch needle, rug hooking, and general needlework

The Oxford Company gripper frames are our preferred choice for stretching backing fabric. The most important step for successful punch needle rug hooking is stretching your rug backing REALLY tight on a frame. A general rule of thumb is to stretch the fabric as tight as a drum.

Each frame is quick and simple to stretch your rug backing or pattern onto. When your backing is tight, your punch will glide through it with ease. Easy punching makes the craft more relaxing and reduces hand and wrist strain. Taut backing will also make your loops more even! The Oxford Company's high quality pine frames are sturdy without being heavy.

• 6" x 6" - The newest size in the series that is perfect for small projects like coasters, mug rugs, small ornaments, etc. Frame can be disassembled for traveling or storage. It becomes compact enough to fit just about anywhere!
• 10" x 10" - The "Baby Ox," Perfect for small projects like coasters, ornaments, little mats, and wall hangings. Frame can be disassembled for traveling or storage. It becomes compact enough to fit just about anywhere!
• 14" x 14" - Super for all kinds of projects – coasters, ornaments, small bags, wall hangings, trivets, and many more. Frame can be disassembled for traveling or storage.
• 18" x 18" - This is the most popular size. It works well for chair pads and many other projects. Many punchers also use this frame to make larger rugs. Frame can be disassembled for traveling or storage.
• 15" x 26" - This smaller rectangle frame is easier to hold on your lap than the 20" x 30" frame. This fame feels more comfortable for some.
• 20" x 30" - This larger frame is ideal because you can make a nice sized 2' x 3' rug and only have to move it once. (2' x 3' is a very popular rug size and a common size for many commercial patterns.)

These innovative lapstands are lightweight, portable, easy to assemble and unassemble, and can be used individually! Both hoops feature a no-slip surface. When assembled, the whole system is less than 1" in height, easily slipping into your project tote bag. Great for storage, classroom work or traveling.

The Morgan Lap Stand Combo has a unique tongue and groove no-slip hoop configuration which holds the fabric taut while working on your project. These Lap Stands are designed to elevate the project hoop above the lap, and are collapsible. Each stand is composed of two hoops held together by three supporting rods which space the hoops 4.5 inches apart. Simply invert the Lap Stand to work with either size hoop. Made of Plastic.

These frame covers are designed for the Oxford Gripper Strip Lap Frames. Made from 2 layers of extra soft fleece and 1 layer of polyfill inside, these extra cushiony frame covers will protect your hands and arms from the sharp gripper strips as you punch. Both sides of the cover have sturdy elastic, making it easy to pop the cover on and off your frame. Even the corners which are the sharpest part of a gripper frame feel so cushiony and comfortable.

Comes in 4 sizes: Extra Small (fits 6” x 6”  (15 x 15cm) gripper frame), Small (fits 10" x 10" (25 x 25cm) gripper frame), Medium (fits 14" x 14" (35 x 35cm) and 18" x 18" (45 x 45cm) gripper frames), and Large (fits 15” x 26" (38 x 66cm) and 20" x 30" (51 x 76cm) gripper frames). A new addition to the Edmunds Needlework line is our completely redesigned Latch Hook Rug Frame. Manufactured from American hardwoods, this frame holds rugs from 4″ up to 50″ wide. The canvas attaches to the frame without tools and is easily advanced by lifting it over the brass nails which hook through the mesh in your canvas. No scrolling or tools are required after the frame is assembled. It also comes complete with an 8 bin storage tray to help organize your threads leaving them within your reach at all times.

This Floor Standing Rug Hooking Frame keeps rugs off your lap and is more comfortable for work. Rug stays in place without slipping.
