Reeds are available for differing yarns. The 2.5, 5, 7.5 and 10dpi (10, 20, 30 and 40/10cm) reeds feature the wide eye for novelty yarns. The fine 12.5dpi (50/10cm) and the NEW extra fine 15dpi (60/10) reeds are also available. Made from strong, durable nylon with Silver Beech rails.

Now you can mix and match dents in your Flip or Cricket loom with our new Variable Dent Reed. An assortment of rigid heddle reed sections in a variety of dents can be inserted into our special rigid heddle frame for different setts in the same reed. The Variable Reed is a great tool for creating different densities in a fabric as well as using thick and thin yarns in the warp. You’ll think of lots of other uses as well.

Schacht’s Lilli Loom is an ideal size for on-the-go tapestry projects and more. Made of solid hardwood maple with sturdy no-slip plastic teeth to keep warp threads in place, the Lilli Loom is the perfect take-along size for on-the-go tapestry projects, and more. The warp can be wound for either 6 or 12 ends per inch, offering options for wider and narrower setts. The 10” x 15” is an ideal size for learning to weave, making samples, small projects, and travel.

Weighted tapestry beater made of hard maple with a smooth Danish oil finish. The wooden teeth are set at five per inch. The weighted beater has about five ounces of lead weight inserted into the end for tighter weaving.

The rich tones of cherry add a beautiful note to your weaving space. They are sanded smooth and then given a hand-rubbed Danish oil finish. Three sizes are available: 9″ mini, 11" slim, and 11″ regular. All have open bottoms and use 4" plastic bobbins. This is a limited run of these products in cherry wood, get them while they last!

• The 9″ mini is styled after a Japanese silk shuttle. This duck-nosed shuttle is wonderful for narrow widths and fine yarns.

Made to hold medium to heavy yarns, ski shuttles are designed so that the yarn is wrapped horizontally around the top of the ski. The smooth bottom slides smoothly across the warp.  They are available in 18" and 24" lengths.

Schacht boat shuttles are beautifully shaped and well balanced. They are sanded smooth and then given a hand-rubbed Danish oil finish. Four sizes are available: 9″, 11″, 13″, and 15″.

• The 9″ mini, the smallest boat shuttle, is styled after a Japanese silk shuttle. This duck-nosed shuttle is wonderful for narrow widths and fine yarns.
• Our most popular boat shuttle, the 11″ boat shuttle, is offered in slim and regular models with closed-bottom and open-bottom styles.
• Our two largest boat shuttles are 13″ and 15″ long and can handle fine to medium-weight yarns. Because of their extra length and yarn capacity, weavers often choose these shuttles for wider weaving widths.
• We also offer slim and regular double-bobbin boat shuttles that are ideal for doubled weft threads. Two separate bobbin shafts make it possible to remove one bobbin at a time.
• All boat shuttles are available in hard maple.

Schacht’s Fringe Twister makes creating the final finishing touch quick, easy and comfortable. We’ve re-designed the traditional straight style twister into our curvaceous one. It wasn’t aesthetics that dictated this change, but rather functionality. The round shape will never jam like straight twisters tend to, allowing you to wind quickly and smoothly. Our Fringe Twister offers two hand winding positions, the handle or the turning wheel, Use whichever feels the most comfortable. The shapely handle is designed to be easy to hold for either right or left handed twisting. The threaded clips can be easily replaced if damaged; our Twister sports 3 of them, but you can use only 2 if that is what the project requires.

Our new Duet beater comes with interchangeable metal combs, set at 8 ends per inch and 12 ends per inch. To change combs, just loosen the screw in the handle, swap out the comb, and then retighten the screw.

Tapestry weaving just got easier with the Arras Trap. Place your Trap on the Arras Tapestry Loom above the shedding device so that your tools are always where you need them. If you've got an Arras Stand, you can add a Trap to the Loom and a Trap to the Stand for extra storage.

Tired of making your own inkle loom heddles? Take some of the work out of warping with a pack of 100 Texsolv Heddles (Green 8 5/8") for use with the Schacht Inkle loom. 

The heddles come strung together in a continuous strand bundle that are tied off with green twist ties. In order to use the heddles for inkle weaving, they must be separated by cutting them apart at the top and bottom in the middle of the 1.25" loop. 

Once separated, the heddles are used the same way as homemade double heddles. Simply fold the heddle in half, place it over the warp strings and loop both ends on the warp peg. These are regular Texsolv heddles that have an inserted eye in the middle of them. Ignore the inserted eye for inkle weaving. The inserted eye will NOT have any warp threads threaded through it.
