The soles are made of flexible plastic (TPU). It is non-toxic, skin-friendly and completely recyclable. In addition, it is so strong and durable that you can reuse your soles MANY TIMES. Create new individual footwear every season - for indoors or outdoors.

The perforated edge allows direct crocheting or sewing. Various freely available instructions for crocheting, sewing, felting and knitting accompany you on your first attempt to create your own shoes.

The 2023 LYS Day Shawl designed by Shannon Dunbabin is a 4-skein lace shawl knit in Noble Cotton color #71 Spring Crocus, inspired by Pantone's color of the year– Viva Magenta. Spun from extra-long staple cotton, Noble Cotton is luxurious and soft. This DK-gauge mercerized cotton works up beautifully for garments and accessories and is available in over 75 solids, including fluorescent neons, as well as new Hand Dyed, and Tie Dyed color ways.

The mill in India that produces Noble Cotton practices sustainability and environmental stewardship by the recycling of the wastewater in a closed system, with the result of zero water discharge. Water recycling is achieved by a variety of methods including reverse osmosis and nano filtration. The zero-liquid discharge recycling saves over 90 million gallons (350 million liters) of water per year. Best of all, since the recycled water is essentially distilled, the pure soft water provides the foundation for superior dying with consistent and clear colors. The 2023 LYS Day Shawl can also be knit in Ultra Pima.
