Includes a hole for a hanging loop. Measures 3" x 1-1/8" x 1/4", with a 1" notch for wrapping yarn.

6" Long flexible plastic weaving needle for use with small looms for tapestry weaving. This is the standard weaving needle supplied with the looms we sell from Schacht. Its size is designed to work well for tapestry weaving. It should fit easily between the warp strings on your loom. Also, It is meant to be somewhat flexible to aid in weaving.

Designed for use with our portable tapestry looms, our economical A-Frame Stand holds the loom upright on a tabletop or the floor while you’re weaving. Adjustable side arms let you vary the angle and fold up for storage.

Our Baby Wolf loom is the most uncompromising small loom available today. It has all the advantages of portability while maintaining the best big loom features. If compactness and portability are what you are looking for, you’ll be interested in this thoughtfully engineered loom.

The weaving width of the Baby Wolf is 26″. You have your choice of 4 or 8 shafts (also called harnesses), or the 4 Now-4 Later model. The X-frame design is exceptionally stable and can be folded to a depth of 18″.

The adjustable beater allows the position of the shuttle race to be raised or lowered if necessary. The Baby Wolf employs a friction brake on the warp beam that lets you advance the warp smoothly.

Taller weavers might consider ordering the Baby Wolf with height extender—it makes the loom 2″ taller, allowing more leg room.

The Cricket Loom is compact, capable, and cute! We offer this loom in the more popular 15″ weaving widths. The Cricket is made of high-quality maple plywood and hard maple. The wood is left unfinished for this loom to allow you to customize it and make it your own.

Schacht has built a lifetime of service into their hand carders. They have a small lip milled into the rear edge of the paddle to protect the card clothing from becoming worn and the handles have been precisely tenoned into the paddles for superior strength.

Tapestry beaters allow you to pack in picks of weft yarn, across an entire row of weaving or in small areas. They're perfect for tapestry looms and other small looms when you're weaving a weft-dominant or weft-faced fabric. Our 3 styles are made of hard maple with a smooth Danish oil finish:

Our new Duet beater comes with interchangeable metal combs, set at 8 ends per inch and 12 ends per inch. To change combs, just loosen the screw in the handle, swap out the comb, and then retighten the screw.

The Flatiron Spinning Wheel rises from a flat-packed box much like Boulder’s iconic Flatirons tilted up from a once-horizontal position. The elegant design of the formed maple ply body calls upon the same drama that makes the Flatirons so striking. This unique Saxony style wheel is anything but traditional, much like the company’s hometown of Boulder, Colorado.

The superb Flatiron Spinning Wheel is customizable; you can build it with either the flyer on the left or the right. With self-aligning bearings in the maidens, and a fully adjustable drive wheel, the whole system is sure to spin true. The clever quick-release lever makes changing out bobbins trouble-free.

The Flatiron Spinning Wheel can be set up in all three tension systems  (Scotch tension, double drive, and bobbin lead). The Flatiron comes with medium and fast whorls; the extra slow, slow, high, and super high speed whorls can also be used for a wide range of rations (available for separate purchase).

Flip, our folding rigid heddle loom, is comfortable, compact, sturdy, and a pleasure to weave on. Designed for high performance, this loom folds in a jiffy for storage or transport.

Weave in comfort. Choose three different weaving modes: use the rear leg for hooking to a table edge, clamp it to a table for stand-up weaving, or install it on our convenient trestle stand. Warp in a flash. With the Flip Bag, you can easily take Flip along with you.

Fine-toothed nylon ratchets provide precise tension control. The conveniently located heddle blocks on the sides of the loom hold the rigid heddle in the up, down, or neutral position. The heddle, available in 5, 8, 10 and 12 dents per inch, is made of durable ABS plastic, with large eyes and slots. Flip is ideal for plain weaves and pick-up patterns.

Our designed-in two-heddle capabilities make it easy and natural to weave with two heddles.

Included with Flip are clamps and a warping peg for direct-loom warping. We include instructions for both direct and pre-measuring methods. Our top cross braces allow long warps, up to 5-6 yards (depending on yarn weight and winding paper), to be wound on the beams without impacting the size of the shed.

Our Flip Looms are available in 15”, 20”, 25”, and 30″ weaving widths, and includes one 8 dent reed, warping peg, 2 shuttles, 2 clamps, threading hook, and complete warping and weaving instructions.

Schacht’s Fringe Twister makes creating the final finishing touch quick, easy and comfortable. We’ve re-designed the traditional straight style twister into our curvaceous one. It wasn’t aesthetics that dictated this change, but rather functionality. The round shape will never jam like straight twisters tend to, allowing you to wind quickly and smoothly. Our Fringe Twister offers two hand winding positions, the handle or the turning wheel, Use whichever feels the most comfortable. The shapely handle is designed to be easy to hold for either right or left handed twisting. The threaded clips can be easily replaced if damaged; our Twister sports 3 of them, but you can use only 2 if that is what the project requires.

The Inkle Loom is a loom every weaver should have. It is great for weaving belts and bands.

Inkle looms are great for start-up weaving programs because they require little additional equipment, are easy to use and understand, and are easily stored.

Our Inkle loom is built with years of heavy use in mind. It has one open side for ease of warping. The tension bar has an easy grip knob for adjusting the warp tension during weaving. Warps can be up to 4.5″ wide and 8.5′ long. The Inkle Loom is made of hard maple and left unfinished.
