Schacht’s Lilli Loom is an ideal size for on-the-go tapestry projects and more. Made of solid hardwood maple with sturdy no-slip plastic teeth to keep warp threads in place, the Lilli Loom is the perfect take-along size for on-the-go tapestry projects, and more. The warp can be wound for either 6 or 12 ends per inch, offering options for wider and narrower setts. The 10” x 15” is an ideal size for learning to weave, making samples, small projects, and travel.

Schacht's mini carders are a pint-sized version of their curved wool cards. At about half the weight, they are an easy size to take to a class or on a road trip, or just out and about with your drop spindle. Available only with 72psi carding cloth.

Schacht has built a lifetime of service into their hand carders. They have a small lip milled into the rear edge of the paddle to protect the card clothing from becoming worn and the handles have been precisely tenoned into the paddles for superior strength.

Among the simplest of looms, the tapestry loom holds a continuous warp under tension, allowing the weaver to see all of the warp at once. Sheds are formed using heddle bars and string heddles or Texsolv heddles. While only two heddle bars are needed for traditional tapestry weaving, we provide four heddle bars so that beginning weavers can also experiment with 4-shaft pattern weaving.

Our 25″ tapestry loom has a tension beam with thumb screws to keep the warp tension even throughout your weaving. The continuous warping system allows a 60″ long warp to be put directly on the loom without using any other warping tools.

The Sidekick is Schacht’s travel spinning wheel. It’s designed to fold easily, yet be a solid spinner. Features:

Single-ended tapestry beater made of hard maple with a smooth Danish oil finish. The wooden teeth are set at five per inch.

Made to hold medium to heavy yarns, ski shuttles are designed so that the yarn is wrapped horizontally around the top of the ski. The smooth bottom slides smoothly across the warp.  They are available in 18" and 24" lengths.

The Spinning Wheel Bobbin is made of hard maple or cherry with a hand-rubbed Danish oil finish. Its 4-ounce capacity lets you spin for hours.

Compatible with Matchless, Ladybug, Flatiron, and Sidekick spinning wheels.

The long needle point of our oil bottle is ideal for getting to all those hard-to-reach places on spinning wheels and other small machines. Filled with 1/2 oz. of motor oil.

It’s built low to the ground (no tipping over during plying), has a unique tensioning feature (no more bobbin back-spinning during plying), and accommodates up to three bobbins. It can be easily disassembled, making it easy to transport or pack — no tools required! Our Kate can be used with other spinning wheel bobbins up to 7″ in length. A Collapsible Lazy Kate comes with Schacht's Matchless wheels, it must be purchased separately with any other Schacht spinning wheel.

The Travel Bobbin was designed with molded plastic flanges. The Travel Bobbin is lightweight, durable, and affordable. It has a four-ounce capacity.

WOLF PUP LT

Here is a little loom you can easily take anywhere with you. The 18″ weaving width is ideal for workshops and for all those other narrow projects.

We’ve used the same sturdy X-frame and barrel-nut construction for our Wolf Pup series looms as we use for our other Wolf looms. We also use many of the same components: steel hub friction brake, brake release foot pedal, aluminum harness channels, and an attached beater pin. The loom comes with stainless steel heddle bars and a stainless steel reed (choice of 6, 8, 10, 12 or 15 dent), and 300 inserted eye heddles. The simple and elegant direct tie-up system we use was first designed by F.C. Wood of Waterford, New York, who started building the Dorset Loom in 1956.

The Wolf Pup LT features jacks and lamms, like its bigger siblings the Baby Wolf and Mighty Wolf, that allow any harness to be tied to any of its 6 treadles, in whatever combination your weave structure requires.

Wolf Pup LT comes with the Treadle Tracker, a mini clipboard for holding your threading and treadling diagrams.

Taller weavers might consider ordering the Wolf Pup LT with height extender—it makes the loom 2″ taller, allowing more leg room.

THE WOLF PUP 8.10

The Wolf Pup 8.10 expands the options of our Wolf Pup line, offering 8-shaft, 10-treadle weaving with an 18″ weaving width. Like our other Wolf looms, the Wolf Pup 8.10 has an X-frame design, providing a sturdy base while allowing the loom to be easily folded up to a depth of 19”. Folding the loom is a cinch, with or without a warp on it. For stability and sturdiness, we employ barrel nut construction and traditional woodworking joinery. The Wolf Pup 8.10 is super compact with a footprint of just 28″ wide x 35-1/2″ deep. It’s a powerful performer with big loom features in a pint-sized loom.

The Wolf Pup 8.10 is perfect for schools and teaching studios where floor space is always a premium. You don’t need to sacrifice big loom features for narrow weaving projects or small spaces.

For rigid heddle weavers keen on pattern weaving, the Wolf Pup 8.10 will take you to the next level in a friendly, feature-full loom.

A companion to our other Wolf Pup Looms, the Wolf Pup 8.10 has outrigger front legs to make extra space for 10 treadles. The brake release lever, located on the outside of the loom, is easy to operate.

You’ll also find a treadle aid included with the Wolf Pup 8.10: it prevents shafts from floating when 6 or more shafts are raised at a time. Included with each Wolf Pup 8.10: Treadle Tracker, 600 inserted eye heddles, reed of your choice, 90 tie-up cords, and caster wheels.
